What Are Apprenticeships?
Apprenticeships are a mixture of on-the-job training with classroom learning.
They provide you with the skills you need for your chosen career that will also lead to nationally recognised qualifications. As an apprentice you earn while you learn and receive other benefits as well. Apprenticeships are real jobs for real people.
They will enable you to enter or stay in the world of work, earn a decent wage and learn new skills. An apprenticeship will offer you amazing opportunities to shine in a job you enjoy.
Once you have successfully completed your apprenticeship, you will receive a nationally recognised qualification, which will allow you to progress to bigger and better things. Whether you wish to begin a more challenging, Higher Apprenticeship, or you want to ignite your new career, completing an apprenticeship is overcoming the first hurdle.
Funding
Financial help is available and you won’t have to pay any fees. If you’re between 16 and 18, the government will pay the full cost of your training (if you’re over 19, your employer may be expected to contribute to your training costs, but talk to us first).
